Software Engineer Manager
We are seeking a Software Engineer Manager to manage a team of 5 - 10 software engineers. This individual will have a hands-on style and a proven background in both management and software development.
Responsibilities:
- Personnel management including, appraisals and evaluations, monitoring morale, support teams with issues as they arise, etc.
- Enable team of software engineers to grow and develop to their full potential (mentoring and coaching)
- Help Product Development Manager sustain and grow development team
- Act as a team lead for feature development
- Schedule, oversee, and ensure development work is completed according to plan
- Work closely with senior management, consulting software engineers, and members of development team to ensure successful completion of all projects
- Will be exposed to full life cycle development - interacting with QA, Documentation, UI, Architecture, Design
Required Experience:
- Proven experience managing up to 10 direct reports
- Microsoft technology savvy
- Although this position will not be "hands-on", the ideal candidate will have "hands-on" technical experience
- Ability to take high-level direction and translate to specific actions
- Able to handle directions change quickly
- Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-task environment
